You’re Invited! Interactive Book Club Discussion
Please RSVP for our interactive book club discussion of the Philadelphia One Read, My Broken Language on Wednesday, June 1, 8:30 – 10:00! You do not have to have read the book to join the discussion! Students will engage you in conversation around important themes we explored throughout the book.
If you would like to read the book but haven’t had the opportunity, it is available on audible! (They are offering a one month free trial right now if you don’t already have it). We look forward to seeing you!

Summer REVternship Update
REVternship experiences for 11th-grade students are about to fully launch on June 27th! Most, but not all, students have expressed their REVternship placement interest, and communicated their choices to their hosts.
We are so close! Please make sure you are aware of the upcoming dates and deadlines.

REVtern students send an email to hosts to express their interest. I will be reaching out to you with details to review about your student!
5/23-5/31 AGREEMENTS ARE SIGNED
Upon confirmation from the REVternship site, students, families and hosts will receive a Connection Agreement to sign and return.
6/1 DETAILED ORIENTATION FOR STUDENTS
REVternship Summer Experience Orientation: This will review assignments, responsibilities and opportunities.
6/6 DETAILED ORIENTATION FOR FAMILIES
Family Hour REVternship Orientation: This will go over all details and answer remaining questions.
6/27-8/10 THE REVTERNSHIP
9/22 REVTERNSHIP LEARNING SHOWCASE
This is a Revolution Event in which students share with REVtern hosts- what they did, what they learned, and their call to actio.
*Stipends of $750 will be provided upon confirmation of successful completion of the REVternship in September.
We can’t wait to fully launch and learn with and in support of students.
Steve Biondillilo joined us for morning meeting to talk about his work as a special event fundraiser and to share his passion for writing poetry. He recited his poem “In Centerfield” for students and together they explored its meaning.
