Monday, November 3 — Grade 11 will be taking the PSAT from 8:30–11am. We appreciate your support in helping your student arrive in time with their computer fully charged. The PSAT (Preliminary SAT) is a standardized test designed to be a parallel test-taking experience to the SAT, although shorter in duration. We’ll review what the results mean with the students and discuss SAT preparation in more detail after the test.

Monday, November 17 — All REV students visit our new home in the Sixth Man Center. More info coming soon!

HIGHLIGHTS

In English, 9th and 10th graders presented their favorite lines from their graffiti essays during a class essay celebration.

Ruqi (Grade 12) presented her college-credit project, which examined the neurological foundations of music therapy.

In History, Grades 9 and 10 concluded the fieldwork portion of their exploration of world religions by visiting the Mormon Temple. Next, students will produce their own documentary films.

Halloween

Revolution School celebrated Halloween with a costume fashion show, food, games, and a movie!

In Math, students wrapped up the first marking period by practicing the skills they’ve developed so far. 9th and 10th grade students showcased their understanding of linear relationships by writing, solving, and graphing real-world scenarios of their own design. Our 11th and 12th graders explored how the slope of a linear function extends into the Rate of Change of a curve, deepening their grasp of calculus concepts. Meanwhile, Geometry students dove into transformations—learning how to move shapes around the coordinate plane while preserving their size and shape.
