Welcome Back to our Student Leadership Diversity Conference ambassadors: Hailey, Mae, Cami, Donald, and Michael. Special thanks to Dirk and Syd for their leadership. This year’s theme, Bending the Arc Toward Justice: Radical Optimism, Transformational Joy, Resilience, and Brilliance was embraced by all! Our ambassadors will share their experience with the rest of the students in the next two community meetings.

December 15 is a Revolution Holiday Half-Day!
We will gather for a Winter Wonderland Brunch and participate in our 2023-2024 Annual Gingerbread House Competition! In lieu of a gift exchange, the Student Leadership Council is collecting new underwear for Broad Street Ministry, an organization that serves people in need. Students will be dismissed at 12:15 pm.

For the 10-part Future Ready Fieldwork Series, 9th and 10th graders continued to explore career opportunities in a wide range of industries. This week, students visited two different locations. On Monday, students visited the offices of Bralow Medical Group and met with Dr. Vicki Bralow about careers in the healthcare industry. On Thursday, students visited the Avenue of the Arts Branch of the Philadelphia Senior Center and met with staff about careers in the social services industry.
College Counseling: Morgan State Visit
Our 11th and 12th graders were given a personal two-hour tour of Morgan State University by Revolution School alums Kysiir and Jaida, who are freshman at Morgan State — and they even joined our students for lunch! It was a cold, windy, and wonderful day.
For US History fieldwork, the students went to the Constitution Center, where they saw several primary documents and life-sized statues of the signers of the Constitution.
Chrisma did an engaging presentation about the Temperance movement in US History class.
To start off our public speaking unit, 9/10 students wrote interview questions and partnered up to interview each other.
