- Spirit Week: Next week is Spirit week starting on Monday, May 15 with âTwin Day.â Please see the schedule above for full details.
- MAP Testing: Friday, May 19 is our last day of MAP testing! Students should prepare by getting a good nightâs sleep. Students will be dismissed once testing is complete on Friday. School will remain open for independent working time for the remainder of the afternoon.
- Junior & Senior Prom: Today is the last day to purchase prom tickets at the early bird rate. Prom will be on Wednesday, May 24, at the Bellevue Hotel from 7-11pm. - Graduation & Moving Up Day: Saturday, June 10, 2023 is the big Day. Graduation and Moving Up Day will take place at Estia, 1407 Locust Street (Right downstairs from Revolution School)! Senior families may include up to six guests and all other students may include up to two guests. To RSVP, click here.

Voices of Revolution Students: Semaj Holley
My day at the Salem Baptist Church was perfect. I couldn’t help but feel joyful being around Marshall Mitchell. He has an aura that is filled with so much joy and positivity that you cannot help but feel safe and happy around him.Â
The thing that really made my day perfect was seeing all of the vegetables and plants around us at the farm that sprouted as a result of hard working women and men. It was even better to hear the story behind the farm and the farm’s history. Aside from that, I could go on and on about the carrots–they tasted like they were nutrition, delight, joy, itself. Itâs as if they were watered with a slice of heaven. Just by tasting it, I could tell that it was good for my body.Â
My favorite part of our excursion was sitting in the movie theater. I cannot even describe to you all how comfortable and fun this experience was. Close your eyes and envision yourself sitting on a couch in front of the TV with a bag of snacks, that is exactly what the aura of the movie theater was giving me.Â
If you have not been to the Salem baptist Church, I highly advise that you take a trip there one day. I promise you that It will be in the top 5 excursions you have ever taken. Have a great day and be safe readers.

In preparation for their graduation speeches, seniors have been participating in a 3-part public speaking workshop with Barbara Szala of In-Person Communications. Students are viewing their own videos, noticing their strengths and opportunities for growth, and learning tips and tricks to speak with confidence and poise.
Juniors met with Erica Woods, Senior Admissions Associate at Villanova University, to learn about professional communication. Students engaged in a lively discussion on what we need to remember when engaging in email, and professional communication in work settings. Ask your students to give you their elevator pitch!
Summer Programs in Philadelphia: Explore a number of different opportunities for middle and high school students, including pre-college courses at top-rated universities, tech camps where students can work with cutting-edge technology and so much more!
Career Night at CHOP: High School students who want to learn more about physical therapy, occupational therapy, or athletic training as a career at CHOP on Wednesday, May 24th from 6:00-8:00 PM at Abramson Building Room 123. Pizza will be provided.
Advance College Experience: ACE Your Summer Experience with Us: See what itâs like to be in college with the Community College of Philadelphiaâs summer ACE (Advanced College Experience) program. ACE provides college-level courses for highly motivated students going into 9th, 10th, 11th, or 12th grades, as well as students up to age 21 pursuing a high school equivalency credential. Through ACE, students can explore a career interest, study timely and relevant issues, and earn college credit.

As we enter 2023, we are happy to share that we are partnering with Dr. Argie Allen, Connections Matter, and Drexel University to provide affordable access to mental health resources for our students and families. Drexel Individual, Couple, and Family Therapy (DUCFT) recently reopened at a new location in the New College Building (245 N. 15th Street Suite 1120, Philadelphia, PA 19102) on January 9, 2023. The fee for service is based on household income using a sliding scale, so individuals and families can access care if they do not have insurance, need a more affordable fee, or prefer not to use their insurance.To request services, click here: Request for Services, complete the information requested, then click submit.
