Emergency Notification Test
In preparation for the snow season, we will be conducting a test of our emergency notification system on Monday, December 13 at 8:00 AM. All students, staffulty, and families should receive an email, text message and voice mail. If you DO NOT receive these communications, please reach out to Jena at contact@revolutionschool.org.
The First Revolution School Frosty Fest!
On Friday, December 17, we will gather together for a potluck brunch, gingerbread stadium and house-making competition, and holiday games to celebrate 2021! Please bring your favorite holiday treat for our special brunch. We invite our Zoom community to join us in the celebration from home via Zoom.

Cydney Brown, author of Daydreaming, and the 2020-2021 Philadelphia Youth Poet Laureate, met with the 9th grade this week to share her poetry journey and what inspires her writing with our very talented Revolution students.
The first meeting of the Investment Club was well attended – a $uccess!! Thank you Gina and Ted for joining us!
11th and12 grades visited Drexel University today for a campus tour and admission information session.
9th and 10th grades visited the Free Library Teen Center and Rare Books Room. The tour included…
- a visit with librarians in the Rare Books department who showed us ancient Arabic documents and a Koran from the library’s Muslim project collection, connecting to both History and Arabic.
- a visit with librarians in the Workforce and Career Center to get a sense of the services, tools and humans available there.
- and finally, an introduction to the Parkway Central Teen Lounge, and the One Book, One Philadelphia program.
