The 2022-2023 Community Handbook is live! Of special note are the Community Norms (p.21) developed in partnership with students. We ask all students and families to please read and reach out with any questions.

Senior Family Dinner: Today is the last day to RSVP!

This catered event is especially for senior families! We’ll gather at Revolution School on Wednesday, September 28 from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm to kick off this very important year in a celebratory way. Please RSVP today!

Health & Safety Update:

Illness has swept through our community this week, with several suffering from fall bugs and two reported cases of COVID. As a result, we are masking through the end of next week and will re-evaluate then. As always, please report positive test results to your advisor AND we encourage all to vaccinate and update with boosters not only for personal protection from COVID but also to protect the health and safety of our community. We wish everyone speedy recoveries!!

Revolution High School Tryouts:

The school year has just begun, but we’re already recruiting for next year—and we need your help! Do you know a current 8th-11th grader who would be a great fit a Revolution School? Help us spread the word about our upcoming “tryouts.”

Writers’ Workshop welcomed Report for America journalist, Sarah Huffman to class on Tuesday. Sarah discussed her writing process and the importance of editing. Students had a chance to be their own editors for one of Sarah’s draft articles and to compare their recommendations with the actual final published version of the story.

On Wednesday, Molly Furlong from the Uncommon Individual Foundation kicked off the Caruso Challenge, which is a college-accredited opportunity in Entrepreneurship. Molly’s curriculum will be woven through our fieldwork throughout the year and will offer successful students 3 college credits at the end of the year!
