THE REVOLUTION SPOTLIGHT

Business Communications Workshop — REVchat

11th and 12th grade students continued with Week 2 of Stafford Wood’s Business Communications Workshop. This week Stafford introduced the students to REVchat, a business started by Revolution School’s 2023 alumni class to help high school and college students research and connect with potential career paths. The four alumni members of REVchat’s founding team — Tasneem Abdullah, Tasneem Bint Abdur Raheem White, Maria Moore, and Sodd Whitehead — were on hand to help students learn about the importance of networking, and to practice interview techniques, such as how to ask powerful questions. The class then utilized their new skills in a Zoom meeting with Kathryn Gisi, who is a communications and PR specialist for Covalent Logic.

The Class of 2023 Inaugural Reunion

Our 2023 graduates returned to Revolution School last Thursday night to eat, play ping pong, and reminisce. They also made advice cards for the 2024 graduates and pinned them to the wall.

Congrats to this month’s Beable winner, Kimora Allen, who won a $20 Amazon gift card for reading the most (and scoring the highest) on the articles she read! Beable improves literacy and exposes students to literature based on their personal interests and career aspirations. Great work, Kimora!
