What’s your Philadelphia Story? Fieldwork Showcase
Inspired by our students–who join us from 20 different zip codes in the Philadelphia area–as well as CJ Gross’s book, “What’s Your Zip Code Story?”, Revolution students have been working to tell stories of Philadelphia. For some, this is rooted in the stories of their own zip codes and neighborhoods. For others, this is rooted in specific interests. From immigration to cuisine, and family histories to identity, students have done interviews, taken photographs, created art, and gathered research to tell Philadelphia’s story.
Last week, we held a fieldwork showcase and community partner appreciation event at the UArts Terra Building. Students presented their “What’s Your Philadelphia Story?” research and community partners were recognized for their contributions to this learning filled year!
Now until Monday, June 12th, pop over to 211 S. Broad Street, Floor 9 to see student photographs in response to “What’s your Philadelphia story?”
